Wiring Instructions for Remote Control Box (GX630 & GX690)
Video

  1. Connecting the Red (Power) Wire:
    • Locate the red wire coming out of the remote control box. It has a blue posi-tap connector on the end.
    • Unscrew the end of the blue connector and place it over the black wire with yellow stipe coming out of the rectifier (a small black box with multiple wires connected to it).
    • Screw the cable end back onto the posi-tap connector, ensuring the small pin pierces the insulation and makes a proper connection with the wire.
  2. Connecting the White (Engine Stop) Wire:
    • Locate the yellow wire coming out of the connector behind the engine control panel.
    • Unscrew the posi-tap connector on the end of the yellow wire from the remote box.
    • Place the posi-tap over the yellow wire and screw it in, ensuring the metal spike pierces the insulation and connects properly.
  3. Connecting the Blue (Starter Motor) Wire:
    • Locate the blue wire with a Blue posi-tap connector and the white wire with a black cover near the positive connector of the starter solenoid.
    • Unscrew the end of the blue connector and place it over the white wire
    • Place the posi-tap over the yellow wire and screw it in, ensuring the metal spike pierces the insulation and connects properly.
  4. Connecting the Black (Ground) Wire:
    • Connect the black wire from the remote control box to either:
      • The negative terminal of the battery, or
      • Any other suitable ground point on the engine.

Remote Operation Instructions

  • To Start the Engine:
    • Press and hold Button A until the engine starts.
  • To Turn Off the Machine:
    • Press Button B

 

Wiring Instructions for Remote Control Box (GX160/200/390 & iXG390)
Your engine must be equipment with a Keystart for this to work. To operate, the key must be in the on position.

 

  1. Connecting the Red (Power) Wire:
    • Locate the red wire coming out of the remote control box. It has a blue posi-tap connector on the end.
    • Unscrew the end of the blue connector and place it over the white wire immediatly as it comes out the bottom of the engine switch box
    • Screw the cable end back onto the posi-tap connector, ensuring the small pin pierces the insulation and makes a proper connection with the wire.
  2. Connecting the White (Engine Stop) Wire:
    • Locate the yellow wire coming out of the bottom of the engine area behind the cable management
    • Unscrew the posi-tap connector on the end of the yellow wire from the remote box.
    • Place the posi-tap over the yellow wire and screw it in, ensuring the metal spike pierces the insulation and connects properly.
  3. Connecting the Blue (Starter Motor) Wire:
    • Locate the blue wire with a Blue posi-tap connector coming out of the remote box and the black wire with a white stripe near the positive connector of the starter solenoid.
    • Unscrew the end of the blue connector and place it over the black wire with a white stripe
    • Place the posi-tap over the black wire with a white stripe and screw it in, ensuring the metal spike pierces the insulation and connects properly.
  4. Connecting the Black (Ground) Wire:
    • Connect the black wire from the remote control box to either:
      • The negative terminal of the battery, or
      • Any other suitable ground point on the engine.

Remote Operation Instructions

  • To Start the Engine:
    • Press and hold Button A until the engine starts.
  • To Turn Off the Machine:
    • Press Button B
