Softwash
Softwash Pumps
Softwash pumps for chemical application: 12V diaphragm pumps from Delavan and Pentair Shurflo for smaller setups, and the Comet P40 set with gearbox and Honda GX200 engine for high-flow roof and house washing.
A 12V pump sprays a batch-mixed solution straight from the tank; the P40 moves 40 L/min for larger jobs and for feeding a proportioner. See the softwash mix ratio chart to get the tank mix right.
Softwash Pumps: common questions
What flow do I need for softwashing roofs?
Small 12V pumps around 6–7 L/min suit house washing and small roofs. Large roofs and commercial work go faster with a high-flow pump such as the 40 L/min Comet P40, which also has the flow to run a proportioner.
Can a 12V pump run off my vehicle battery?
Yes, 12V softwash pumps are designed to run from a vehicle or auxiliary battery. Use correctly sized cable and a fuse or circuit breaker close to the battery, and run a dual-battery system for long days so you don’t flatten the starting battery.
